Photo Contest

  1. Contest dates will be September 5, 2020, until midnight on September 30, 2020, Central Standard Time.

  2. Adults 18+ in Ellis County are eligible.

  3. You may enter by emailing simslibreference@gmail.com. Please include your name, age, phone number, and title of your photo.

  4. Entries must be made in .jpeg, GIF, or .jpg format.

  5. Prizes:

    1. $50 Amazon gift card for the winner of the Sunrise/Sunset category.

    2. $50 Amazon gift card for the winner of the Foliage category.

  6. You may submit one photo in each category.

  7. Work will be judged by staff, and entries will be judged based on creativity, quality, originality, responsiveness to the prompt, and overall impact.

  8. The contestant certifies that he/she is the sole creator and copyright owner of the submitted photograph.

  9. Upon entry to the contest, you grant a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to publicly display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or later developed, for any purpose, including, but not limited to, advertising and promotion of its website, exhibition, and commercial products, including but not limited to publications. Any photograph reproduced will include a photographer credit as feasible. The library will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek additional approval in connection with such uses.
