1. How to search for materials |
Click on the Catalogue link on the left side of the screen. Type within the search box in the center of the screen. You can search by Author, Title, Subject, Series, Periodical Title, or Words or Phrase by selecting an option from the drop down box beside the search box.
Click search and a page of results will appear. If for some reason the search is unsuccessful, an Item Not Found page will appear with other search suggestions.

2. How to view your account |
Click on the My Account link on the left side of the screen.
When you click on Review My Account you will be asked to enter your User ID and Pin. Your User ID is your library card number, found on the back of your card. The Pin number is a unique number assigned to you when you sign up for a library card. Next click Display User Information.
All materials you currently have checked out, items on hold, and any fines you may have can be seen here.

3. How to get your "pin number" |
When you sign up for a Sims Library card, a unique Pin Number is assigned to your account. This number is for you to access your library account online.
For your own protection, this number can only be given to you in person at the library.

4. How to renew materials |
Sims Library allows you to renew books, magazines, audio books, cds and cassettes.
Log in to My Account (see above). Click on the Renew My Materials link and enter your User ID and Pin Number. All items you currently have checked out will appear on the screen with the option to either Renew All Materials or Renew Selected Materials.
Once you have renewed your items, the new due date will appear for each. You are only allowed to renew your items one time.
Dvds and Videos can be renewed once for a two-day period.

5. How to suggest new items |
Sims Library welcomes your suggestions for books, audio books, music and movies to be added to our collection!
To suggest items, click on the Catalogue link on the left side of the screen. Select Recommend to Order.
Type as much information as possible within the form then hit Send!
