General Information
Sims Library accepts cash or checks. We cannot accept credit or debit cards.
Family members will not be able to check out any items or use the computers until all fines for the household are paid.
Fines are charged for each day the item is overdue, including the days the library is closed. A book drop is available outside the library to return books and magazines only. Please do not return videos, DVDs, Books on Tape, Books on CD, Audiocassettes, or CDs in the book drop! These items must be returned inside the building. Returning these items in the book drop will result in the loss of borrowing privileges.
All VHS movies, Books on Tape, and Audiocassettes must be rewound. There is a 50¢ charge for each tape that is not rewound.

Card Renewal
Out-of-City patrons must renew their cards after one year. The renewal fee is $25 per household.

Lost Card
The remake fee to replace a lost card is $1.00 the first time. Each successive remake will increase by $1.00 with a maximum of $5.00.

Damaged Items
All books, magazines, viJanuary 27, 2012must be returned in good condition. Patrons will be charge a fee when items are lost or returned in a damaged condition, such as water damage, markings on the book, tapes that no longer play, etc. A current replacement fee will be charged for each lost or damaged item, plus a $3 processing fee per item.

Copying
Copy fees for 8x10 sheets are 20¢ for single page and 25¢ for double sided. For 11x17 sheets, it is 35¢ for single and 40¢ for double sided. Color copies in the Children's Department are $1 per page.
Computer printouts are 25¢ per page. You are responsible for every page printed.
Copy fee is 10¢ per page if you bring your own paper. Paper must meet Library standards. This does not apply to color copies.

Holds/Reserves
A reserve can be placed on an item for 25¢. You can place a hold either in person, over the telephone, or online. Limit 4 items (only 2 holds for DVDs).

Fax Services
Fax fee is $2 for the phone call, plus $1 per page. The Library will supply cover sheets for 5¢. Faxes cannot be received at the Library.

Interlibrary Loans
Beginning in February, Interlibrary loan (ILL) fee will be $2.75 for each request and is non- refundable. Overdue fine for ILLs is 50¢ per day.

Proctoring
There is a $20 per test fee for proctoring. Sims Library can only provide proctoring for paper exams and we do ask for at least 24 hours notice when scheduling a proctor.
